The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1724

In no time, Dr. Ray came back with the test results. His expression was still tense. Mirabella just needed one look to know it wasn't good news.

"The blood types don't match. We can't use your blood for Keir," Dr. Ray explained with regret. He cast a glance at the monitor showing a faint life sign, concerned. "If we go ahead and perform surgery to remove the bullet, there's a risk of hemorrhagic shock. But if we don't act fast..."

He might not make it another half hour.

Dr. Ray didn't need to finish the sentence. Mirabella, being a doctor herself, understood the gravity of the situation without him having to spell it out.

"Let's do the surgery," Mirabella said, her voice steady and calm.

Dr. Ray opened his mouth to protest, "But—"

Mirabella raised a hand, knowing exactly what Dr. Ray was about to argue. "I need chilled saline and liquid nitrogen. Can you get those ready for me?"

Dr. Ray's eyes widened in surprise. "Are you thinking of using a cryotherapy technique?"

"Something like that," Mirabella replied, her gaze lowering as she picked up a scalpel. "I'll take full responsibility for the risks. You just need to get me what I asked for."

Seeing her steady hands and confident demeanor, Dr. Ray realized he didn't have

a better plan. He turned to an assistant nearby and quietly gave some instructions. Then he moved to stand beside Mirabella, ready to assist her.

Three hours later, the operation was complete. Jim was moved into a sterile room, encased in a metal chamber with only his head exposed. The monitors showed all his vital signs below normal, but his life force, though faint, was stable enough to not be in immediate danger.

It was nothing short of a miracle.

"I heard about this advanced cryotherapy method from a top research facility, but it was meant for use minutes after cardiac arrest to preserve the body. I never thought it could be applied to a living patient," Dr. Ray mused, stilt in

disbelief, standing outside the sterile room.

He had assisted Mirabella

throughout the surgery, and her technique left him in awe. In his over forty years in the field, he'd never seen anything like it. If he had been the one performing the surgery, it would have taken him at least twice as long, and he might not have succeeded even then.

Such talent at her age was unheard of in the medical community.noveldrama

Yet, Dr. Ray couldn't help but wonder. He turned to Mirabella, curiosity piqued,

"Ms. Mirabella, are you from that leading research facility?"

The medical team there was renowned globally, producing numerous groundbreaking studies in recent years. Watching Mirabella's methods today, Dr. Ray couldn't help but make the connection.

Mirabella's face was a bit pale. Her deep, almond-shaped eyes seemed devoid of warmth as she answered simply, "No."

"Really?" Dr. Ray was taken aback but then thought that the world was vast, and perhaps other experts existed with such revolutionary skills.

"This isn't cryotherapy either," Mirabella corrected him.

Dr. Ray looked at her, even more intrigued by her response.
