The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2642

Frank shook his head. "It's nothing that complicated. To put it in video game

terms, it's both active and passive. I can recognize noise and stink but also shut it off from my mind-like military headsets, it filters out everything and only provides necessary information."

Janice realized with a start. "That means you're much stronger than the average person. If my grandpa knew, he'd be so excited that he could get out of bed."

"Is he ill?"

"Yeah, or I wouldn't have tried to buy the lunarise root from you."

Frank nodded. "Partnership notwithstanding, I'll try to help your grandfather-but on condition that he comes to Shagan."

Janice nodded. "I know-you can't leave Shagan!"

Someone entered just as he finished.

It was a woman in a black dress. Looking around her forties and with a slender figure, she clearly still retained her charm, with her fair skin and bright eyes!

Janice's eyes lit up as she greeted the woman excitedly. "What brings you here, Aunt Myra?"

Myra Zahn smiled. "Why, is there a reason I shouldn't be here? You've really grown up now, little lady-even contributing to the family, I see. I naturally have to see this for myself."

Turning toward Frank, she asked, "Could you be Lugh Frankton, the chief of Mystic Sky Guild?

"Not bad, kid. I've met plenty of handsome men in my time, but this is the first time

I've encountered someone as handsome as you. Should you ever come around

and decide you'd like to be a sugar baby, come to me anytime. I'm always available!"

Beside her, Janice scowled. "Could you quit with the heavy jokes? He's as amazing as he is young. You're just teasing him now."

Myra tapped her on the nose and flashed a cheeky smile. "Indeed I was. Is that so hard to tell?"

Not in the mood for jokes, Janice turned to flash an apologetic smile at Frank. "Sorry-that's just how she is. Please don't mind her."

Frank was not having it. He said coolly, "Take a seat, since you're here anyway, but let's cut to the chase."

"Direct, I see!"

Myra sat down and held out a hand. "Myra Zahn. Pleased to meet you!"

Frank shook her hand, saying, "Ms. Zahn, I'm sure your niece would have spoken to you about the strength of Mystic Sky Guild. But if you don't mind, while a partnership is possible, I insist on having the final word."

Myra smiled. "Then you should know that the many subsidiaries beneath my family's banner all succeednoveldrama

through autonomy. And strictly

speaking, you're more of a fratel net

than an enterprise, and ordecis

maintained by strength, not money.

"Since your martial elites won't be listening to us even if we could pay them, agree to your conditions... though I must also insist that I'm shown what Mystic Sky Guild can do!" sŵnovel

"That's unnecessary," Janice quickly said. "I know how powerful he is. He wouldn't lie to us."

Myra ignored her, however, and smiled at Frank, who returned the gesture with a polite smile.

It was clear she was not satisfied with knowing only Frank's capabilities, but she wanted to know the entire Mystic Sky Guild's.

After all, there was only that much a single man could do.
