The Sway and Slide of Love

Hendrix didn't respond to Ruth. He simply pulled his arm away, his face devoid of any expression.

Then, he glanced at the security guard nearby. The guard had wanted to stop Ruth earlier, but her heavily pregnant state made him hesitate to act.

However, with Hendrix's icy gaze now on him, the guard had no choice but to step forward.

"Let go of me! Who do you think you are? Get your hands off me!" Ruth screamed, but the guard didn't release her.

From her position, all she could do was watch Hendrix walk past her. Her eyes widened slightly, and her voice grew even shriller. "I get it now. That bitch is dead, isn't she? Serves her right! She deserved it! She should've died a long time ago!"noveldrama

As soon as Ruth finished speaking, Hendrix came to an abrupt halt. Then, he turned to look at her.

Ruth had been ready to continue her tirade. After all, she had nothing left to lose now. Her family's company and factories had all been shut down. Ricky had even called her a jinx, blaming her for offending Noelle and Hendrix, which had led to their downfall.

But what had she done wrong? If it weren't for her efforts, the factory might not have even lasted this long. So, none of them had the right to criticize her.

And the most hateful of all were Hendrix and Noelle. They were the ones who had conspired to ruin her!

Ruth's eyes were filled with hatred, and she had prepared countless venomous words to curse them. But the moment she met Hendrix's gaze, her voice died in her throat. It was as if something had sealed her mouth shut, forcing her to swallow all her emotions and words. Herfingertips and scalp tingled with fear.

Hendrix, however, didn't say a word. He just looked at her for a moment before turning and walking away.

His sleek car glided past Ruth's line of sight. Seeing this, the guard finally released her. Ruth collapsed to the ground like a discarded piece of trash.

It wasn't until her phone rang that she was pulled back to reality. It was Ricky calling.

"You stupid woman! What have you done? Do you have any idea what you've done?"

Ruth listened numbly. "What else can I do? It doesn't matter anymore. At this point, what do I even have left to lose?"

"Do you know who just called me? The bank Our house has been seized! Along with all our remaining funds! This has to be your doing, right? You bitch, are you trying to completely ruin-"

Ruth couldn't hear the rest of what Ricky said. Her vision began to darken, and

the next moment, she passed out.

Ruth was taken away by an

ambulance in front of Amity Group.

The news quickly reached Hendrix's

ears. But as he listened, his

expression remained completely unmoved.

His fingers flew across the keyboard as he made a phone call. "Everything is in

place. You can take action now."
