Chapter 467 Heartache
Alexander held Sophia in his arms and slammed his back against the table.
The force with which he had rushed in, combined with the impact of their bodies, created a dull thud in the room.
A sharp pain shot through Alexander's back.
But he held Sophia tightly, ensuring she didn't get hurt.
They hit the table and then rolled onto the floor.
Although Sophia was somewhat dazed, she could still hear Alexander's voice.
Her eyes, bloodshot, looked at Alexander beneath her, and she weakly said, "Alexander."
She wanted to ask if Alexander was okay, but the words stuck in her throat.
Tears rolled down her cheeks at that moment.
All the grievances she had felt surged up in her heart.
Alexander, enduring the pain in his back, gently caressed Sophia's cheek with his large hand.
He softly coaxed, "Don't cry, I'm here. I won't let anyone bully you."
Hearing this, Sophia cried uncontrollably.
All she could do was call his name; she couldn't say anything else.
Alexander picked her up from the ground, staring at the swollen handprint on her face,
a fierce look flashing in his eyes.
He turned his cold gaze towards Lucy.
His voice was like it had been quenched in ice water.
"Did you hit her?"
Lucy didn't care; instead, she sneered.
"So what if I hit her? She seduced my son, drugged him, and tried to get into his bed.
A slut like her deserves to be hit!"
"Say one more word, I dare you!"
A cruel smile played on Alexander's lips as he charged at Lucy.
Lucy was so frightened that she kept retreating, her face pale.
She had heard of Alexander's notorious reputation and knew he was a reckless person.
No one in his family could control him.
Lucy, trembling, looked at Alexander and stammered, "Are you going to hit me?"
Alexander approached step by step, his eyes bloodshot as he glared at her. "You dare touch my woman? Hitting you is the least of what I could do."
"Then what do you want to do?"
Alexander gritted his teeth and said, "I'll make you watch as I beat your precious son!"
With that, Alexander kicked Manuel.
Then he punched Manuel hard in the face.
As he hit him, Alexander cursed, "I wouldn't even dare to touch her lightly. Who the hell gave you the guts to lay a hand on her?"
Manuel, drugged and weak, could only hold his head and say, "It wasn't me. I didn't drug her."
"So you're saying she did it?"
"I don't know who did it. It was just the two of us drinking, and then I got drugged. I even received a text from her asking me to come to this room."
Hearing this, Alexander punched Manuel again in anger. "If she were really that kind of person, would she have broken up with me? What do I lack compared to you? She still trusted you so much!"
Alexander punched Manuel's face again.
Manuel's face instantly swelled up.
Seeing Manuel being beaten, Lucy cried out in pain.
"Stop hitting Manuel, or he'll die."
She threw herself into Manuel's arms, shielding his face.
Alexander glared at her coldly. "Take your precious son and get out!"

Lucy immediately pulled Manuel up from the ground and left with him.
After they left, Alexander picked Sophia up, gently wiping the tears from her face with
his large hand, and softly said, "Don't cry. I'll take you home."
The heat in Sophia's body peaked the moment Alexander held her.
But her remaining rationality told her she couldn't get close to Alexander.
Sophia weakly said, "Alexander, put me down. I can walk by myself." Alexander looked down at her, a mischievous smile on his lips. "Afraid I'll take advantage of you? Don't worry, you're still on your period. I'm not that desperate. I'll have someone send the medicine to your apartment. A bit of IV fluid will do the trick." Hearing this, Sophia finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Ten minutes later, Alexander carried Sophia into the house.
The medicine had already arrived.
He skillfully set up the IV for Sophia.
Then he gently applied some anti-swelling ointment to her face.
As he applied it, he said, "Sophia, you're breaking my heart. I wouldn't even dare to touch you, and now someone else has done this to you. I swear I want to kill that woman."
Hearing his words, Sophia's tears flowed again.
She choked out, "Alexander, I didn't drug him."
"Do you even need to say that? I'm not stupid."
"But it wasn't Manuel either. Someone must have wanted us to be together but didn't expect Lucy to show up suddenly."
Alexander's hand paused, his gaze turning cold. "You're suspecting Daisy."
Sophia didn't hesitate. "At first, I suspected Manuel's mother. She wanted to pin the blame on me. But when you rushed in, I felt something was off. How did you know where I was?"
"Someone sent me an anonymous text saying you and Manuel were here."
"So, this person wanted me and Manuel to have sex and then be caught by you. That way, you'd give up on me. The only person who could do such a thing is Daisy. I can't think of anyone else."

Hearing this, Alexander gritted his teeth.
The only person who didn't want him to be with Sophia was Daisy.
Thinking of this, Alexander's eyes filled with malice.
"I'll get to the bottom of this. I won't let you be hurt for nothing. Do you trust me?"
Sophia weakly nodded, "I trust you. But have you ever thought about why Daisy doesn't want you to be with me?"
"Sophia just doesn't like you. She thinks you're always seducing me and wasting my time on purpose."
"If it were that simple, it would be fine. But I feel Daisy's feelings for you are unusual. From a woman's perspective, she likes you."
Hearing her words, Alexander felt a chill run down his spine.
He instantly recalled the unusual things Daisy had done to him.
Daisy had once sneaked into his room in the middle of the night, trying to get into his bed and sleep with him.
When he caught her, Daisy made an excuse, saying she was scared of the thunder.
Daisy also liked to hug him, even though he had told her countless times to understand the difference between men and women. But she never listened. Recalling these things, Alexander couldn't help but shiver.
If this were true, he should treat Daisy even more coldly in the future.
He gently stroked Sophia's head and softly coaxed, "I'll be careful from now on. I'll also investigate this matter. You should sleep now. You'll feel better when you wake up."
Sophia finally let her guard down and fell asleep.
Alexander looked at her flushed face, the malice in his heart growing.
He took out his computer and accessed the hacker system.noveldrama
He entered the number that had sent him the text.
The system immediately showed the exact location of the number at that time.
And that location was none other than the Cross Villa.
