Chapter 1238
Annie was breathless, "Let's head back to the room."
Conner, caught up in the moment, leaned in and used his teeth to tug open the strap of Annie's nightgown. He was so eager that he ended up biting her a bit too hard, her soft skin sending sparks through his senses. He couldn't hold back, not wanting to waste a moment.
In one swoop, Conner lifted her off the sofa, her hair flowing like a fairy's as she moved. Annie's heart raced, her mind blank with anticipation.
Once in the bedroom, Conner kicked the door shut behind him, gently tossing Annie onto the bed before moving over her like a protective mountain.noveldrama
Annie's clothes were askew, her lips already claimed by Conner, followed by her neck, her chest... and then everything else.
Annie winced slightly, but Conner, driven by an unexpected wave of passion, was intense and urgent.
Later that night, Mia, feeling worn out, nudged her husband a few times, pushing him to the edge of the bed so she could finally get some peace and sleep. As she closed her eyes, a nagging thought about something she said earlier flitted through her mind, but she was too tired to care.
As she drifted off, Mia rolled around a few times, eventually snuggling into her husband's arms like a playful kitten.
Andre watched Mia next to him, a contented smile spreading across his face. He knew his little sweetheart would end up in his arms by midnight.
Even half-asleep, Mia felt her pillow wasn't quite right. With her eyes still closed, she maneuvered her husband's arm under her neck and draped her leg over his body, wrapping her arm around his chest. Ah, much better.
Andre chuckled quietly. Instead of sleeping, he soaked in the sight of his wife, committing every detail to memory.
Holding the soft, gentle Mia felt like holding the world, and he couldn't help but wish he could have her all to himself.
As the night wore on, the moon shifted silently across the sky.
Annie, having experienced a night of passion for the first time, was utterly spent and drifted into a deep sleep. Conner, still buzzing with excitement, kept kissing her until Annie woke up, annoyed, and landed a playful punch on him. "Go sleep somewhere else."
Conner, not bothered by the punch, nuzzled into her neck like a loyal puppy.
Annie, too tired to push him away, held a pillow to his face, "Conner, seriously, get out."
"Annie, we haven't even talked about kids yet."
"I don't want to think about that now."
"Come on, I have three great qualities. First, I keep my promises. Second, I never leave things unfinished. Third, you ask for one, and I give you a bunch, all top- notch with lifelong support."
Conner playfully snatched the pillow from her hands, wrapping his arms around her waist once more. His eyes were locked on her flushed, shy face, and he couldn't help but lean in again. "Besides, I love the 'overtime' involved in making 'products'!"
Annie sighed, realizing that decisions made at night often came with regrets.
For the first time, Annie found something more exhausting than pulling an all- nighter on a stakeout.
The next morning, Conner was grinning from ear to ear, while Annie was still catching up on sleep.
By lunchtime, when Conner tried to wake her, Annie responded with another playful punch.
As the head of the Nettleton family stepped outside, rubbing his cheek, a follower teased, "Boss, did the sister-in-law get you again?"
What do you think?
