Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 890

In the car escaping Dark Organization headquarters, Wilson frowned and

embraced Yvette, letting her lean against him.

"You don't look well, baby. Rest for a while first."

Yvette didn't refuse, obediently leaning into his broad, warm chest.

She was indeed very tired. Ever since those strange symptoms started occurring, she had become easily tired. She pursed her lips at the thought of those frequent symptoms, her gaze turning cold.

Yvette had been looking really unwell for the past few days.

Wilson's eyes narrowed, and he started thinking quietly to himself.

Could he have tired her out that night? It seemed he would have to exercise some restraint in the future...

When he spoke again, he sounded upset and full of self-reproach. "It's all my fault, baby. I'll show more restraint in the future."

Yvette's face reddened, realizing that he had misunderstood. Still, she didn't try to explain things to himself.

This wasn't the time to inform him of the problems with her body. They wouldn't be able to hide from Theodore for long, so investigating the truth of the incident in the past took priority.

Wilson chuckled softly, teasing lazily, "But I must say, your stamina is terrible." Yvette's face reddened further. Those pretty eyes of hers glared angrily at him.

"Shut up!"noveldrama

Evidently, he was the one who didn't understand restraint and had given her a tough time, yet he dared blame her stamina instead!

Knowing that she was easily embarrassed, Wilson's smile deepened. However, he shut up obediently,

"Alright, alright, I'll shut up. Just rest, baby," he coaxed gently.

Yvette haughtily pursed her lips, then leaned back against him and closed her eyes. She had only intended to take a short rest, but before she knew it, she actually fell asleep.

When she next woke up, she found herself in an unfamiliar room. She got out of bed and exited the room to see Wilson sitting on a couch.

His back was to her, so she didn't know what he was doing. She walked quickly over to him and

squirmed into his embrace as ifnet

were the most natural thing in the world, hooking her arms around his neck.

"My waist aches. I want a massage!" she said softly.

Seeing him remain unmoving even after she spoke, she frowned in dissatisfaction. Then, the next moment, she met his amused gaze. It confused her.

"How about you take a look at what I'm doing right now, baby?"

Yvette followed his gaze, only now noticing the laptop facing them on the coffee table. The screen displayed an ongoing video call with several high-ranking executives of Quinn Corporation.

Her arrival had obviously disrupted the entire conference.

The executives on the screen were at first shocked, looking as if they were questioning themselves as how someone who dared order the CEO around could exist.

Then, they remembered how she had commented on her waist hurting, and their expressions changed. Now, they looked more as if they were watching a romance drama.

Yvette fell into a mortified silence.

Great, she had completely embarrassed herself again!

Wilson gazed tenderly at her through half-lidded eyes, asking in a lazy, amused drawl, "Do you still need me to give you a massage?"

His voice sent shivers up her spine.

To him, there was nothing wrong with doing so. He was perfectly happy to take care of Yvette.

However, with how easily embarrassed she was, she would probably be unwilling to let him perform such an act of service in front of so many people.

As expected, the moment he spoke, she pushed him away. Her face was red as she quickly left.

He chuckled fondly at her hurried exit, face full of gentleness.

Holy shit!

The executives on screen were all so shocked at what they were seeing that their

eyes almost bugged out of their heads.
